What Do I Bring?

Running kit. Vests, shorts, “running” trainers. School rugby/PE kit is not suitable for long distance runs! Plain cotton or "technical" t-shirts, club vests, tracksuits accepted, and in cold/wet weather, suitable hats and gloves!

What Will We Be Doing?

We all saw Usain Bolt and Jess Ennis this summer and wanted to emulate their excellence. But we prefer Mo Farah, Paula Radcliffe and those folks who don't collapse after running for less than 10 seconds.

This is the club for those who want to run. Proper running, long distance running. You should ideally be thinking about either training for the Lincoln 10k the Woodhall Spa 10k, or possibly an inter-tutor group 5k race in the Spring.

We will continue on a popular theme from last year - no holds barred good, old fashioned RUNNING!

And this year, there'll be runs out-of-school too, including optional Sunday races around the country.

Example Sessions:

  • Cooper Run (12 min time-trial)
  • 1 mile, 2 mile or 3 mile group runs
  • Pyramid runs
  • Lamp-post speed sessions
  • Specific 10k and Half Marathon training sessions, with options to race these distances at weekends (10k races for ages 15+, Half Marathon 17+)
  • Steep Hill Challenge (can you run up it?!)

We also cater for those who want to get fit through gentle running rather than sprinting.

The training sessions will include practical sessions (working in small groups and with some on-to-one training), and allowing all involved a chance to organise activities and races.
